EVACUATION

In an emergency situation, residents must be prepared to evacuate their property. An evacuation notice may be issued by the municipality should conditions be deemed too unsafe or hazardous for residents to remain at their property.

It may also be necessary to evacuate pets and livestock during emergency situations. Having your pets shots up to date and developing a livestock evacuation plan, prior to an emergency situation, can take some of the mental load off of a potentially stressful situation.

The municipality may be able to find a suitable evacuation location for your pets and livestock, please contact 204-425-3218 if you have any questions.

The municipality will direct all evacuees to a reception centre, where they will be able to register as an evacuee and be directed to the potential services which they may require.

NOTIFICATION OF EVACUATION - Please be aware of all methods that the municipality may use to notify of an evacuation.
