On behalf of Public Health – Healthy Living with Southern Health – Santé Sud.  For more information on any of these programs or services please contact a Healthy Living Facilitator.

What do Mental Health First Aid, CRA, Quit Smoking, Volunteer Training and Food Safe have to do with each other?  They all have the potential to improve the health of your or your community and Public Health-Healthy Living would like you to know about the following:

1.Mental Health First Aid Training is being offered in our region and Healthy Living will support the cost for volunteers to attend the training.  Please see attached document for dates, times and locations and more information

2.Canada Revenue Agency has outreach workers to provide information on their programs and services.  They are available to do presentations in communities. 
 
 
 
 

3.Quit Smoking Challenge for Young Adults – Break it off is running their annual quit smoking campaign for young adults.  Registration is open in January.  

4.Volunteer MB Training - We are continuing to cover the costs for volunteers to attend a variety of Volunteer MB training events.  See attached documents called "Org Tools” for more information.

5.Food Safe Training opportunities - Volunteers in communities continue to be eligible to attend regional food safe training in Steinbach, Morden and Portage.  If you know of someone in your community that is a volunteer who prepares food for public events please feel free to contact me to find out about the next training.
